Plot Summary
Samara is back, but a girl thinks she can help her finally find peace
Star #2
THE RING may be one of the scariest movies of all time. If you even mention that film you can see people visibly shake the chills away. This third installment of the franchise has some truly terrifying moments, but I would't say that it lives up to the fright of the original.

The movie feels pretty slow for the first hour, but the last 30 minutes kick in hard giving the audience non-stop thrills and chills for the last third of the film. There are some good jumps and bumps along the way, but don't expect to be awed or creeped out by the story during the first sixty minutes.

Vincent D'Onofrio may be the scariest character in the film. He makes the movie much better than it would have been without him. Unfortunately, the leading female is not a good actor. There were several times I was pulled out of the story because her lines were so poorly delivered.

I think that fans of the original film will find this movie to be enjoyable even though it isn't as good. If you haven't seen the first one, a lot of this movie will go over your head, because very little back explanation is done. I would suggest watching the first movie before you see this one.
