Plot Summary
A thousand teenage boys spend a week learning about politics and government while running for office and writing and passing their own laws and systems of government
Star #3
Streaming on AppleTV+.

I'll be honest, when I first saw the trailer for this documentary I was put off. The last thing I want to do in 2020 is watch a bunch of politically-charged teens yelling at each other.

But then I watched it. And it was AMAZING!

The transformation in these boys over the course of just one week is incredible, and so compelling to watch. Beyond that, this film is hilarious. Within the first few minutes I was already laughing out loud, and by the end I couldn't get the goofy grin off of my face.

The film makers did a masterful job at keeping the politics in the story, but keeping out the bias. It never feels like this documentary leans left or right. It just feels like a legitimate debate over real issues.

The boys that are the focus of the story are a joy to watch. They are smart, funny, engaging, and very adept at playing the game of politics. It is surprising to see how they interact, debate, and adapt to try to gain an advantage for their particular point of interest.

I think the best thing about this film is that it gives hope for the future. It gives us a glimpse at our future leaders, and they are already doing a great job.

Give this one a shot, I think you might be surprised at how much you like it.
