Plot Summary
A man from Washington Heights has a dream to return to his roots
Director
Hamilton creator, Lin Manuel-Miranda has not slowed down one bit since his smash hit took the world by storm. But you may not know that he wrote the music for In The Heights long before. In fact, In The Heights finished its long Broadway run a full four years before Hamilton debuted. And now he has helped turn it into an incredible big screen production.

This is a beautifully choreographed film with incredible music and a powerful story. Nearly every scene is captivating with its colors and movement. You'll feel like you are in the middle of a wonderful party.

Not only is it visually striking, but the music is fantastic as well. This film is filled with songs that are sure to quickly become some of your favorites if you've not seen the stage production. They are catchy, fun, and exciting. If you are a fan of Hamilton you are sure to love these songs as well, because they have that special something that only Lin Manuel-Miranda can give to a song.

Finally, but by no means last, the story is captivating. From the moment the movie starts until the credits roll this is the kind of film that draws you in and keeps you engaged. Even though it clocks in at just over 2 1/2 hours it never feels long or like it is dragging.

If you are a fan of musicals, this is a must-see movie. It may even become one of your all-time favorite stage to screen adaptations.
