When I see any movie I go into it thinking, "this is going to be the best movie of the year". It takes most films about 3 minutes or less to crush that feeling out of my soul. I must admit that when I saw the first trailer I was skeptical that they could pull off a good reboot of a classic comedy. However, I went into the screening giving the movie every opportunity to astound me, and it did.

This new version of GHOSTBUSTERS is a ton of fun, it is incredibly funny and, while there isn't much of a plot, what there is of a plot is a passable conduit for the rest of the good stuff. The cast also makes fun of all the internet haters that said an all-female cast wouldn't work. The scene is comedy gold.

This movie is full of make-you-smile throwbacks to the original, laugh-out-loud cameos, and a scene-stealing Chris Hemsworth. By the way, all you Hemsworth fans out there, make sure to stay through all of the credits. You'll get several minutes of him dancing like a maniac.

The movie does go a bit overboard at the end. It goes beyond comedy into the realm of cheesy, but overall it is a great film. So, who you gonna call? Your friends to make a date to see this movie soon!
