Plot Summary
A down-on-his-luck theatre owner gives his business one last try with a singing competition
I need to review this movie from two different points of view.

First, I saw this film in a theater full of young kids. They LOVED it. They all came out raving about how good and funny it was. So, know that your kids will be happy to have seen SING.

As for the parents, this movie is above average as far as animated movies go, but it is about 30 minutes too long. There are scenes that add nothing to the overall story, and other scenes that carry on far too long.

The story is entertaining, but formulaic all the way through. Kids will enjoy the story, but parents will see everything coming. That doesn't make it a bad movie, but it does make it just a bit boring.

The finishing act is a lot of fun and inspiring for all, so there is that to look forward to near the end of the film. However, parents, like most things in life, if you go see this just know that you are taking one for the team.
