Thank you, JUMANJI for coming along when you did. It's been quite a while since we've had a really good comedy/action flick hit theaters. We've has some so-so comedies, some decent action flicks, some great movies that had no comedy or action, but nothing like this film.

You need JUMANJI in your life.

You may not realize it yet, but you really do. Not only is this film entertaining and fun, but the acting is on par with any of the best in acting nominations out there right now. (Hollywood refuses to nominate people in movies like these, and for the life of me I can't figure out why). Jack Black may be the most authentic self-obsessed, teenage girl we've ever seen on film. Karen Gillan straddles the line between a confident, badass fighter and awkward, self-conscious nerd in a most hilarious and well done way.

The story isn't super deep, and the secondary characters aren't developed at all, but that is to be expected in a film about a video game made in the mid-90s. Back then the quests were basic, and the characters were closer to stick figures with thought bubbles than they were to anything nearing complex.

This is one of those rare films where you can sit in a dark room for a couple of hours, forget about everything going on in the real world, and be entertained at an above average level. Grab your friends and enjoy a night out in the jungle.
