Plot Summary
A girls high school volleyball team tries to overcome the tragic loss of their star player
Star #1
This is a well-written, emotional story that the whole family can enjoy.

It's not a great film by any stretch of the imagination, but it gets the point across in a meaningful way. It feels a lot like a high-quality made-for-TV movie rather than a big screen film, but the story makes up for the lack of quality.

The acting is pretty basic, even from the bigger stars in the film. There are several moments where cameos were given to people that aren't actors and it shows. However, the volleyball that is played in the film is actually pretty close to being on a true level with real girls high school volleyball. So many sports movies don't care about getting the sport right, thankfully this one took the time and effort to make it all look real.

The only part of the film that feels off is the language. I know they wanted a PG rating, so because of that there is no adult language, but there are a couple of moments where the dialogue feels odd and altered from what a real person would say in that situation. That said, at least you don't have any explaining to do to your young kids about what certain words mean.

This film is an emotional ride, so be prepared to laugh, cry, and cry a lot more. It is a sad tale, but it is also very inspirational and moving. If you like inspirational sports flicks, this is a great movie to see.
