Plot Summary
A young Spider-Man finds out there are others like him when a villain opens up a portal to other worlds. And they all must work together to set the world on track again
Since the early 2000's we have had six different SPIDER-MAN films roll through the theaters. Some were great, others were...not great. Now comes along a comic-book looking Spider-Man flick with the main character being played not by Peter Parker, but a teen boy. And there is also a Spider-Pig (Spider-Ham to be precise...and he was created 20 years before the Simpson's Spider-Pig scene).

Of the seven films, this one is without a doubt the best of the bunch. It is a fantastic film that hits every single note all the way through. There was not a single second that I wasn't completely entertained and enjoying everything I was watching. And the most incredible thing about that is that I am not a huge Spider-Man fan at all.

There are many funny moments interspersed within a compelling plot. The characters are all interesting and everyone of them brings something special to the film.

Possibly the best part of the film is that it doesn't take the Spider-Man world too seriously. This doesn't mean that it is continually making fun of itself or trashing canon, on the contrary. It does a great job of lifting up the Spider-Man world by using self-deprecating humor.

If you are a Spider-Man fan this is a must see. If you are a fan of great movies, this is a must-see. If you want to see the movies that will be up for awards this year, this is a must-see.

NOTE: Stay through all of the credits. It is sooooooo worth it this time.
