When I saw the first trailer for this movie I immediately set my expectations high. I knew that Tom Hardy and Woody Harrelson would deliver, but there was one more thing that I needed to make sure this movie was great. I needed a long, drawn out, intense, over the top fight scene between the two monsters.

All of my expectations were met.

This is a movie that stays in its lane. The powers that be knew this was a movie that needed to be all about the monster fight, and so they streamlined everything to get to that moment. However, it doesn't feel like the rest of the movie is rushed. They did a great job with the setup and character development of Harrelson's character, plus they do a good job of getting us back into the life of Eddie Brock.

The pacing is great. It gets through the important information and gets us to the excitement in a smooth yet quick manner. And then once it gets to the fight scene it is all about the crazy effects and cool visuals.

If you liked the first Venom film you need to see this one soon. You won't be disappointed.

As with almost all Marvel films, make sure you stick around through the credits. There is a mid-credit scene that you will want to see.
