Director Zack "I can't find the edit button on my computer" Snyder is back again with a 2 1/2 hour long zombie flick to follow his four hour long recut of Justice League. In this case he took what would have been a really fun and exciting 100 minute movie and stretched it out into a decent, but too slow 150 minute movie.

I will give him credit though for actually giving us character development this time. It's nice to watch a movie and actually care what happens to the main characters. It may not be filled with the most compelling acting, but at least the characters are enjoyable to watch.

As for the story, I like that we didn't have to sit through another long film about how the zombie apocalypse began. This film gets right to the point and lets the real story play out in a world filled with zombies. Unfortunately, there isn't enough story to go around for the remaining 143 minutes of the film so it bogs down often.

When all is said and done, this is a decent zombie flick. It's not great. It's not terrible. But, I think you'll probably be happier if you wait the extra 7 days for it to hit Netflix than spending a lot of money just to see it now.
