We've all been in someone's life as they are going through puberty. Whether it was our own awkward change, or the metamorphosis of one of our children, puberty is a mess.
This movie is essentially about a kid with the worst puberty rage ever.
I was really looking forward to this movie because the trailer made it look unique and smart. Unfortunately, it falls in line with the formula of most horror flicks, and it never tells us what happened and why.
It almost feels like the studio is trying to set us up for a series of films about anti-heroes...like the Avengers, only on opposite day. Unfortunately, this movie was so blah that I don't even care to do the research to see if more are going to be made.
The film does have some good suspense, and some scary moments. It is also filled with very gory scenes, so if you have a weak stomach you should stay away from this one.
There isn't anything in this movie that is exciting or compelling enough for me to recommend you see it. It's basically a poorly told, half-horror, half comic-book film that will be forgotten in a few weeks.
