Clint Says: Wait for the DVD

Good news! I wasn't wishing for death after seeing this movie. I'm not saying it is great by any stretch of the imagination, but it gives the audience exactly what you think a movie titled DEATH WISH would offer.

Even though the film clocks on around 100 minutes it takes a long time to get going. We don't get to the stuff we came to see until the second half of the movie. By that point I was ready for anything to happen.

If you are planning on seeing this movie just know that it is brutally gory. There are some seriously gross splatter scenes and mis-located body parts. It's enough to make even the toughest among your friends squirm.

If you like movies where the little guy fights the corrupt system and figures out a way to win, you will think this movie is okay. It is not a movie that anyone will be referencing as great cinema, or even one of the good ones in its own genre. It will give you what you want, but nothing more.
