Clint Says: Wait until after opening weekend, but see this is theaters

It's not very often a Western hits the theaters. It's even more rare for that Western to be outstanding. HOSTILES checks off both boxes. It is a film that will rock you to your core.

The acting is some of the best you will see all year. Never once was I pulled out of the story by a misstep by the cast. Each character was fascinating in their own way.

The story is powerful and compelling, and even though the movie is over two hours long I never felt like it was dragging. Beyond that, Bale's character arc is simply one of the best I have ever seen. For that reason alone this is a film worth seeing.

This film is brutal, it doesn't pull any punches, and there are several disturbing moments, however it is also beautiful, peaceful, and caring. The juxtaposition is what makes this film so powerful.

If you like Westerns, HOSTILES is a must-see. If you like the occasional Western, this is a must-see.
