Clint Says: Wait for the digital release

I wasn't sure what to make of this movie when I saw the first trailer. Now that I've seen the movie, I'm still not sure what to make of it. It feels like a pet project for Michael B. Jordan. He is the Executive Producer and he has a small role in it. But it is also an origin story for a much bigger plot. I'm sure that if this movie makes money we will see a sequel in a couple of years.

It's an odd film because it has Sci-Fi elements to it, but 95% of the movie is just normal, action movie stuff. That last 5% however turns the whole story on it's head and it becomes fully Sci-Fi, setting up a 100% Sci-Fi sequel.

The acting is pretty good, but the story has several eye-rolling moments. There are a few plot points that don't make any sense, and others that are so ridiculous that nobody would ever actually do what the characters are doing.

This is not a movie you have to see on the big screen. In fact, if you are paying for more than one ticket, you'll probably be upset that you shelled out hard-earned money on this one. Just wait for the digital release and enjoy it from the comfort of your own couch. Maybe the sequel will be worth seeing in theaters.
