Show of hands...Is anyone else sick and tired of Melissa McCarthy always playing the same character? Good to know. I'm glad I'm not alone.

I'm sure she has the ability to stretch beyond this character. We've seen it before in SPY, and hopefully we will see it again in CAN YOU EVER FORGIVE ME, but this film offers nothing but the same old thing.

The only thing that makes this film worthy of being seen is the writing. There are several funny moments including one that is so spectacularly funny we missed at least the next 30 seconds of dialogue because of all the people laughing so hard. There are also several cringe worthy moments. Some of this moments are good cringe worthy, some of them are bad cringe worthy.

If you go see this, you won't be upset that you spent money on it, but it is the kind of movie you will forget you saw in a few weeks.
