Clint Says: Drop everything and go see this in theaters now

Congratulations, DC. You completely nailed it with this film.

Finally.

Yes, WONDER WOMAN was really good, but it had a lot of cliche moments. Yes, the first two DARK KNIGHT films are technically DC, but those are more Christopher Nolan's success than DC. Therefore, this is the first really great DC comic book film to hit the big screen.

It is tremendously funny, filled with great suspense, it has wonderful character development, and it is entertaining throughout. The only issue I had with the film are a couple of pacing flaws where the action starts to wane.

Zachary Levi is great, but it is the child actors, Asher Angel and Jack Dylan Grazer, that completely steal the show. They are funny, endearing, innocent, and captivating. Their chemistry and joy for life leap off the screen and energize anyone watching the movie.

Possibly the best part of the film the the hero's character arc. The parallels between Billy Batson and Shazam in their needs, and the way they go about trying to handle things is enjoyable to watch. To that point, this may be one of the only comic book super hero movies that will move you to tears. (But, never fear, you'll be laughing like a maniac soon after).

This is absolutely a movie worth seeing on the big screen. The bigger, the better. You won't regret spending a few entertainment dollars to see this one. In fact, you may want to buy a second ticket now, because chances are, you are going to want to see it again after you see it the first time.
