Based on the first film, it's hard to believe that this franchise has lasted for five films, but thanks to the end of the second film and all of the third and fourth films this has turned into a solid and compelling series.

One of the best aspects of these movies is their cultural relevance. They take current political situations, squeeze them out to the extreme and force you to answer some difficult questions. I'm sure there are some that will find this film offensive with some of the questions it poses, but most people will find it inventive and inquisitive to a degree, but it isn't nearly as good as the best Purge films.
Out of the five films, I would rank this one right in the middle. It's not great, it's not terrible, it does just enough to keep the story alive and somewhat interesting, but it isn't good enough to make me want a sixth one.
This is a movie that is worth seeing once, but not right now. Give it a few months until it is streaming on some service and watch it then.
